SHIZQ Kame Series

Kame Series, the products of traditional urushi lacquering, are made through an elaborate process of brushing, wiping and drying.

Once it is applied with a lacquer coating, the lacquer gets wiped off with a piece of cloth. It is then left for a whole day to dry. This procedure is repeated five times.

Each layer combined with the previous coating, enhances the clarity of wood grains, accomplishing a texture that is breathtakingly beautiful and fine. Finishing up natural cedar wood with natural lacquer brings out the best of our all-natural product.

The soft cedar tree allows the lacquer coating to penetrate deep into the cells of the wood fiber. As a result, a gorgeous and totally new type of lacquerware has been created.
